Chretien was born and raised in a Christian family. He has been involved in the church since birth, attending Sunday school as a child. Later, he started serving in various capacities within the Sunday school and youth ministry, including roles as a singer, piano player, and youth coordinator.

When Chretien was about five years old, he began to ask profound questions about his faith: Who is God? Why did He create mankind? Why does He allow bad things to happen? What will happen after we die? Although many of these questions were answered to some extent through his Christian experience, the question of why God created mankind remained elusive. Despite years of listening to different preachers and personal devotion, he found that the answers he received never completely made sense, as there were always elements that did not add up for him. Chretien made the decision to give his life to Christ in 2006 when he was just starting his high school studies. he got baptized by water immersion on 4th September, 2018 at CLA (Christian Life Assembly, Nyarutarama).  

In 2016, a significant revelation occurred. One early morning, while working as a receptionist at a guest house, Chretien opened YouTube on his computer and stumbled upon a video by the late Dr. Myles Munroe. In the video, Munroe discussed five essential questions that every person must answer, questions that mirrored the ones Chretien had since childhood. Intrigued, Chretien downloaded the video to watch later that night.
After viewing the entire video, Chretien was amazed to realize that the answers to his questions were in the Bible all along, although he had not seen them before. This realization led him to commit to a fresh start in reading the Bible, hoping to find answers to his most pressing concern at that time: how to achieve a successful and fulfilling life.

A few months later, God revealed to Chretien his life purpose through a prophet. The prophet delivered a word from God, which was confirmed with signs and wonders, declaring that Chretien was called to bring healing to the body of Christ. The message was: “Whoever drinks from the water you will give shall be healed.” This profound revelation motivated Chretien to immerse himself in the scriptures. He started reading from Genesis, and by the time he was halfway through, he had made a commitment to do God’s will in his life.
Chretien’s dedication to studying the word of God was not in vain. By 2018, through divine revelation received from the word of God (1peter 2:24), he understood that Christ had healed him 2000 plus years ago. He decided to live in that truth, resulting in the complete healing of his eyes and relief from a persistent toothache, all without visiting a hospital.

In 2020, during a three-month period, God granted Chretien numerous revelations through His word, explaining what was happening in the world and the role of the church in these events. That revelation fueled a strong zeal for the body of Christ, and since then, Chretien has been deeply committed to the church, praying and spending personal time in the word of God, receiving many teachings to share with the body of Christ.

Chretien Ibyishaka ministries (CIMI), began publicly in 2024 after God instructed him to start making videos and posting them on YouTube, Rumble, and website. However, the ministry’s actual inception was in 2022, marking the beginning of his journey to bring healing and enlightenment to the body of Christ.
